Static Structural simulation of Automotive Alloy Wheel
The rim is the "outer edge of a automotive wheel, holding the tire". It makes up the outer circular design of the wheel on which the inside edge of the tire is mounted on vehicles such as automobiles. In this cae analysis an automotive alloy wheel rim has designed and performed a structural simulation to find out the maximum stress and deformation. COMSOL Solid mechanics module has used to perform the structural simulation. A load boundary condition is applied radially and fixed boundary condition at centre holes. The maximum stress obtained are shown in green where red colour indicates minimal stress respectively.
