Eigen frequency analysis of Automotive Disc Brake

Disc brake is a type of brake that uses callipers to squeeze pairs of pads against a disc in order to create friction which will retards the rotation of wheel. This experiment deals with finding the natural frequency and mode shapes of a two wheeler disc brake. A cad model of disc brake is developed and eigen frequency has performed using finite element analysis. The above CAE image shows displacement contour plots under certain frequency level.
