Thermal analysis of Piston

A Piston is a mechanical component of internal combustion engine, reciprocating pumps and similar mechanism. It is the moving component that is contained inside a cylinder and is made gas-tight by piston rings. In an internal combustion engine it's purpose is to transfer force from combustion process in cylinder to the crankshaft via connecting rod. The piston get heated during combustion process. In this experiment a piston design is analysed thermally to predict the maximum temperature distribution. The heat is transferred from piston head to other parts respectively. Appropriate thermal boundary conditions are applied and temperature distribution is plotted respectively. Maximum temperature is represented by red and minimal with blue colour respectively.
